Rosters /USSSA Membership
This is a USSSA State Tournament. There-fore you must have a USSSA membership number and a copy of your completed team USSSA Roster Form to include parent and/or guardian signatures. The completed roster must be presented to the State Tournament Director – Wally Fortuna prior to your first game. In case there is an issue about a player listed on a roster we will reference rosters on file with the State Director.
Tournament Gate Fees
There is a Team Gate Fee of $200.00 that covers the tournament fee, and coaches, players and spectator gate fees.
This fee must be paid prior to the start of the tournament.

Managers must check in at least one hour before each scheduled game

The Seeding of Teams and Tournament Brackets are approved by Wally Fortuna, USSSA State Kansas Director, prior to the Tournament.

Coin Flip
- In Pool Play, a “flip of the coin” before each game will determine
Home Team, the Home Team will use 1st base dugout
- In Bracket Play, the highest seeded team will be Home Team
- The Championship game will use the coin flip
Scorekeepers
We ask that both team’s scorekeepers sit directly behind home plate during tournament games. There they will find score tables provided, Home Team scorekeeper is the Official Bookkeeper and will work directly along with the Home Plate Umpire
Game Length
10U Games shall be 6 innings
Time Limit: 1 hour and 45 minutes*
Game time should be noted by the umpires and both managers
*No time limit will be applied to the Championship Game
Mercy Rules
Rule 7.03.B Mercy Rules page 6 (USSSA) for 10 year olds:
15 after 3 innings - 8 or more at the end of the 4th inning
In enforcing any part of this rule, the Home Team shall not bat if they are winning and the mercy requirement is met prior to the bottom half of the listed start inning.
The Home Team will cease batting at that moment and the game will end.
There shall be NO TIE games.
Shoes
Shoes – In age divisions 4U – 12U, non-metal cleats must be worn
Game is Called
If a game is called due to rain, weather, light failure or other acts of God and cannot be resumed it is a regulation game if:
For a six (6) inning game, if three (3) innings have been completed or if the Home Team has scored more runs in two (2) innings or two and one half (2 ½) innings than the Visitors has scored in three (3) complete or if the Home Team scores one (1) or more runs in its half (1/2) of the third (3rd) inning to tie the score. Games that cannot be declared a regulation game shall be a suspended game.
Intentional Walk
An intentional walk may take place by announcement from either the pitcher or catcher,
(four) 4 pitches need not be thrown.
Courtesy Runner
At any time, the offensive team may use a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher of record the previous inning on defense. The courtesy runner must be a player not presently in the line up.
Sliding
When ever a tag play is evident, runners must slide or seek to avoid contact with the fielder.
Bat Rules

For Pitching Limitations, “The Pitcher” USSSA Rules Book for reference or Tournament Director.
Each Manager will pick-up a Pitching Chart prior to the game and will return such chart after the game to the Tournament Director/Staff, failure to do so could affect a Pitching Protest. For cumulative totals, 1 out equals one third of an inning.
Balks
In all ages 9U & 10U, pitchers should be allowed some leniency in regards to Balks.
Sportsmanship and Ejections
Sportsmanship & Ejections
Disorderly conduct will be taken seriously. Any ejected Manager/Coach/Player shall leave the ball field immediately remaining no closer to the playing field than the parking lot and shall cease all coaching duties (out of sight and sound). Anyone (including spectators) ejected will be asked to leave the park. Any Manager/Coach/Player or Spectator ejected, additional penalties may be assessed at the discretion of the League/Tournament Director. As these rules indicate, the matter of disorderly conduct will not be tolerated by the Tournament Staff.
